The Shot

The Water Polo shot incorporate techniques from many other sports. The motion of the shot can be compared to the javelin throw, tennis, volleyball, handball and even basketball. The main difference is the difficulty of being able to perform this action in the water. One of the most important things to be able to have a great Water Polo shot is having a great treading technique. Being able to come up higher out of the water, one is able to incorporate more of the body’s power into the shot.
The main way for the Water Polo shot is, moving your left arm in front and coming up high. Then, rotate your upper body, smash forward, pull down your right arm and shoot. This is the basis for a Water Polo shot, but as you evolve, you begin to pick your favorite type of shooting. In the sport, people sometimes perform skip shots: in which they shoot the ball at the water and it skips into the direction it was thrown, this makes it more difficult on the goal keeper. There are other shots like backhands, lob shots and even helicopter shots, which I will talk about later on. at the water and it skips into the direction it was thrown, this makes it more difficult on the goal keeper. 1. Hey Coco! I never really knew much about water polo, but always find it interesting. It is a very intriguing sport, as it is not one of the most common sports in the world. I've always wanted to try to play but don't have the swimming portion under control. Maybe, just maybe, one day I'll sneak in to a pool and try a few shots myself. :)
