Navy Water Polo Camp
All year round the U.S Naval Academy, at Annapolis Maryland, hosts their elite water polo camps. The campers train under the direction of the country's best coaches that provide them with individual feedback on their players. Any player with varying experience that is within the age of 10-19 is eligible to attend. During the summer they host camps in June and July, this summer I was fortunate enough to attend their July portion. It was INSANE, the coaches were incredible and the facility was just jaw-dropping. They had a total of 5 playable pools, allowing a large number of players to be training at the same time. The daily schedule would consist of awakening at 7 A.M having a small breakfast, then goalie training till 9, followed by lunch, afterwards at 10:30 practice would resume again, till 2. Then we would take a break for dinner, (3-5) afterwards we got back in the pool at around 5:30 and sometimes stayed in the water till 9 at the latest. Even though it seems like a long time in the water, it truly went by quickly. I learned a lot from this camp and I would recommend it to anyone trying out water polo or players who have some ability.
